OK, this just about wins the award for the coolest thing I’ve seen in a really long time. It’s a six-minute remake of John Carpenter’s THE THING using stop-motion animation and GI Joe action figures. It’s impeccably animated and beautifully rendered on top of marrying two things I was obsessed with the in 80s. I was sent a Quicktime file of the video so I had to do some research on exactly who created it and why but apparently it’s a music video for the electronic duo Zombie Zombie (hence the intro) that was directed by Simon Gesrel and Xavier Ehretsmann. I don’t know who those dudes are but if they don’t have a development deal in a month, then I’ve lost all faith. Check it out below!
