Gleeson & Robbie lead tender, warm Goodbye Christopher Robin trailer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Winnie the Pooh is a cherished literary character who exudes warmth, love, kindness and absurd amounts of cuddliness. So why shouldn’t a movie about the adorable bear's creation also possess the same fine qualities? The first trailer for GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is oozing with sweet tenderness, with Domhnall Gleeson playing Pooh author A. A. Mine and Margot Robbie as his wife Daphne de Sélincourt, both the elegant parents of a young Christopher Robin Mine. Try not to feel like a ray of sunshine after watching this trailer.

Coming out as Oscar season kicks in, only time will tell if ROBIN can be the next FINDING NEVERLAND, but right now the movie is shaping up to be a perfectly lovely telling of how one of the most iconic children’s characters came into being. The theme of embracing imagination and joy during times of trouble and sadness is one people should really grasp right now, and if the reviews are good ROBIN could be a standout of the fall season. Kinda makes you wanna raid a Build-A-Bear store, right?

GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN arrives October 13.
