Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die
Gore Verbinski’s newest film, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, is sure to shake up the “January releases” hangover you may have, as the premise is wild and the visuals look even wilder. Add to that the all-in, unhinged performance of Sam Rockwell and you’ve got a stew going! Briarcliff Entertainment has just passed along a new poster for the sci-fi, action, horror comedy just before it hits theaters on February 13. The poster is showcasing the kind of chaos the trailers have been promising and has been able to work in the cast, with Rockwell taking center stage.

The details behind the madness
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die follows a man who claims to be from the future and takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world. Sam Rockwell (JoJo Rabbit, Iron Man 2) stars alongside Haley Lu Richardson (The Edge of Seventeen, The White Lotus), Michael Peña (Narcos: Mexico, Jack Ryan), Zazie Beetz (Joker, Deadpool 2), and Juno Temple (Ted Lasso, Venom: The Last Dance). The screenplay written by Matthew Robinson, who co-wrote The Invention of Lying with Ricky Gervais and Love and Monsters with Brian Duffield.
Early reactions to the film have been very positive. Our own Chris Bumbray loved it as he said, “It’s fitting that Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is going the theatrical route rather than streaming, as it would have been too ironic—and perhaps contrary to the movie’s purpose—to have it make its debut on a streaming service. Instead, it’s getting a rollout courtesy of Briarcliffe Entertainment, and it will rely strongly on word of mouth to make an impact. Back in the eighties and nineties, this would have been labelled a “cult film,” and hopefully, the genre audience that will no doubt love it will come out and support it. It’s a wild swing, but it’s also one of the more invigorating and original pieces of sci-fi I’ve seen in quite a long time. It’s nice to have Verbinski back.” Check out his whole review HERE.
