Who’s tired of seeing mythological beasties get slayed on screen?
Hopefully not many, because it seems a new flick covering such trampled territory is on the way. According to THR’s Heat Vision, Andrew Lazar’s Mad Chance and Circle of Confusion are joining forces to adapt IDW’s graphic novel LORE to the big screen. Word also has it that Cory Goodman, the man who wrote Scott Stewart’s upcoming PRIEST, has been brought on board with Jeremy Lott to pen the adaptation.
For those as lost as I, LORE is said to be the story of a young man who reluctantly becomes a member of an elite secret order charged with protecting humanity from the beasts of folklore who invade our world.
Sounds familiar, no? Hopefully no sh*tty 3D post-conversion will hamper such a story if this ever does get made…yes I’m talking to you CLASH OF THE TITANS.
If all goes as planned, producers hope to turn LORE into an action-adventure franchise, one in the vein of MEN IN BLACK. If that’s the case, who do you think should be their Big Willy Smith? And please don’t say Sam Worthington!
More on LORE as we sweep it up!
