Back when Sony Pictures announced that production had begun on Seth Rogen’s THE GREEN HORNET, Nicolas Cage was in negotiations to join the cast as the lead villain. Then about last week, Cage opted out of HORNET and left the film searching for its baddie. Well the search is over.
Soon-to-be Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz, who is currently breaking out on screen at Col. Hans Landa in INGLOURIOUS BASTARDS, has signed on to star as Chudnofsky, the Hornet’s arch-nemesis. Can you say major upgrade? With HORNET already a few weeks into filming it’s unclear how quickly Waltz will begin shooting scenes alongside Rogen and Cameron Diaz. Whenever it is, it immediately ups the awesome quotient of this flick (no offense, Mr. Cage).
