We're just several short weeks away from the release of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2, and if the early reactions are to be believed, James Gunn's sequel has more than lived up to the hype. As the release of the much-anticipated Marvel sequel approaches, the marketing campaign is kicking into high gear with the release of several clips from the film. We've already seen Drax (Dave Bautista) get stabby with a giant beasty earlier today and now we've got a handful of new clips for you to enjoy, including Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) playing with Rocket's (Bradley Cooper) death button, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) enjoying a dance with Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and the whole gang attempting to escape from a fleet of Sovereign ships. Business as usual.
I was one of those people who foolishly underestimated the first GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY film before I finally sat down to watch it, but I'll be sure not to make that same mistake with the sequel. As for when we'll next meet up with the galaxy's most lovable band of a-holes, they'll be putting in an appearance in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and will of course be returning for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3, which James Gunn recently announced that he will write and direct.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 is set for a May 5, 2017 release.
