Groundhog musical

JoBloJoBlo

About five years ago, Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd) said something about the idea of doing a stage adaptation of GROUNDHOG DAY. Turns out now, that might actually be possible. Harold Ramis said:

“Danny Rubin, who wrote the original script, has been working on a book for a musical… Stephen Sondheim was asked what film he would turn into a musical and he said ‘Groundhog Day… And I said, ‘Wow, that’s pretty cool.’ James Lapine, who directed a lot of Sondheim, actually contacted me and asked if I’d thought about a ‘Groundhog Day’ musical.”

I’m no fan of musicals but Harold Ramis is the man, so I’ll, yeah, I’ll run with this. What do you guys think? Yes or no? Down with musicals? Will Sayid ruin things for all of the Losties? Or will Sawyer come through?
