Grown Ups 3: Netflix reveals full cast and first-look image as filming begins

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve engaged in some good old-fashioned shenanigans with Adam Sandler and his friends. But fear not, another movie in the comedian’s Grown Ups franchise is quickly taking shape. Earlier today, Netflix posted a cast photo for Grown Ups 3, featuring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, and Salma Hayek Pinault. The photo features the sequel’s lead cast members anticipating a delicious meal while at a darkly lit restaurant. Beneath that cast photo is a classic Hollywood clapper, with the film’s official logo centered on a large dinner plate.

In addition to the main cast, Julie Bowen, Deon Cole, and Bailee Madison will make their franchise debut, joining returning stars Jackie Sandler, Shaquille O’Neal, Colin Quinn, Tim Meadows, Cheri Oteri, Ellen Cleghorne, and Nick Swardson.

What’s Grown Ups 3 about?

Production for Grown Ups 3 is already underway in New Jersey, with the film’s official logline reading: Now that their kids are all grown up, the gang is finally free to go on the ultimate adventure. Production for Grown Ups 3 is already underway in New Jersey. According to TUDUM, the sequel picks up after the group has been apart for 30 years, reuniting over the July 4th weekend with their families in tow, setting up the official logline: “Now that their kids are all grown up, the gang is finally free to go on the ultimate adventure.” Tim Herlihy and Sandler are co-writers, after penning Grown Ups 2 together, as well as Happy Gilmore 2, Hubie Halloween, and more.

Time Out

Sandler has another project in the works at Netflix, as it was announced earlier this year that he would be starring in Time Out, a new film from Scott Cooper (Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere).

Taking inspiration from Laurent Cantet and Robin Campillo’s L’Emploi Du Temps, the official synopsis reveals that the film “follows Vincent (Sandler), who after being fired from his job can’t bring himself to tell his wife and family. Rather than reveal the truth, he spins a web of lies to conceal his situation. He escalates his lies further when he creates an investment scheme and asks friends to contribute, and the deception threatens to overwhelm his life and his family.” The rest of the cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Willem Dafoe, Gaby Hoffman, F. Murray Abraham, Steve Zahn, and Adam Horowitz.
