So this looks fun! BAD HAIR, a horror-comedy from the the director of DEAR WHITE PEOPLE Justin Simien, has just unleashed a stylish and outlandish trailer about a haunted weave! Here's the official trailer:

In 1989 an ambitious young woman gets a weave in order to succeed in the image-obsessed world of music television. However, her flourishing career may come at a great cost when she realizes that her new hair may have a mind of its own.

Honestly, I think this looks crazy, fun, and – again – stylish. I also am appreciating this trend of horror movies that talk about explictly BIPOC experiences (ala GET OUT, CANDYMAN, and LOVECRAFT COUNTRY) that adds an extra layer to the horror. Personally, I can't wait to see it!

Meanwhile, BAD HAIR – directed by Justin Simien and starring Zaria Kelley, Corinne Massiah, Elle Lorraine – will premiere on Hulu October 23rd!
