The Avengers roughed up 656 banner

SPOILERS for the three people who are close to television screens and/or movie theaters and somehow haven’t seen THE AVENGERS.

THE AVENGERS is currently out on Blu-Ray and DVD, which means that there are plenty of fans the world over plumbing its depths for all of the goodies and teasers and behind the scenes revelations that it has to offer. While it’s all interesting to some degree or another, depending on where your personal passions lie in regards to filmmaking, something I think we all can agree is pretty damn cool are these pieces of concept art for Thanos, The Mad Titan. Glimpsed during the mid-credit sequence, an experience that made some of us grin in knowing amazement and most of us grin in faltering confusion, Thanos is said to play a big part in both GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and THE AVENGERS 2.

And here’s the release-date recap (heh, Cap…) that will have been drilled into your brain by the time IRON MAN 3 hits.

IRON MAN 3: May 3rd, 2013
THOR: THE DARK WORLD: November 8th, 2013
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER: April 4th, 2014
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: August 1st, 2014
THE AVENGERS 2: May 1st, 2015.

And maybe ANT MAN sometime in 2014 as well, depending on how production on Edgar Wright’s THE WORLD’S END goes this fall.
