Earlier this year, we told you about David Fincher signing on to spearhead HEAVY METAL, a remake of the 1981 animated film of the same name, which was based on the magazine of the same name. The project had been set up at Paramount but it seems the hard-R nature of the material has Paramount a little spooked so, according to Hollywood Insider, Fincher and co. have been shopping the project around to other studios. Like the original, the film will comprise a few different sci fi/fantasy shorts featuring bikini-clad women, ripped thugs, bizarre creatures and lots of sex.
