According to Variety, Universal picked up the sequel and has plans on releasing it summer 2008! See, the original was distributed by Revolution Studios, which has since gone out of business, so the rights to the sequel were up for the taking. Cool shite. Way to go Universal!
Those officially confirmed as returning are Perlman (wouldn’t be a movie without that guy) and Selma Blair! Somehow I’m surprised she’s back, but glad as hell she is. One, she’s hot, and two, she did a decent job as Liz, the pyrokinetic love interest to the boy from hell.
So no more speculation, no more debates, no more rumors- get ready folks, as HELLBOY 2 is now on the horizon! Sure, we have to wait 2 years before we will enjoy it, but as the saying goes… better late than never!
