Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992) – WTF Happened to This Horror Movie?

Last Updated on August 11, 2021

After the success of the first two Hellraiser movies, fans wondered where a third entry would go after the finite ending of part two. Enter Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (WATCH IT HEREOWN IT HERE), which turned up the action, delved more into the history of Captain Elliott Spencer, and put Pinhead front and center. Anthony Hickox, who was hot off of the underrated Waxwork 2, was brought in to direct because of his reputation for working fast and cheap. In addition, Miramax having a blooming franchise on their hands, wanted Pinhead and company to go more mainstream, more American.

With Hellraiser 3 having its biggest budget to date, it also ended up being one of the more troubled productions in the series, aside from the Alan Smithee labeled fourth entry. Part three went through multiple delays, different edits, issues with the MPAA, and much, much more. In the latest episode of our video series, we delve into Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth and ask ourselves WTF Happened to This Horror Movie?

Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth is directed by Anthony Hickox and stars Terry Farrell, Doug Bradley, Paula Marshall. Kevin Bernhardt and has the following synopsis:
