Help Will Ferrell set a world record for Megamind

JoBloJoBlo

Dreamworks is really going all out for promotion for MEGAMIND. What, are you worried the 3D ticket sales aren’t the guaranteed cash cow they used to be? And maybe people don’t want to see DESPICABLE ME with different voices? Hm?

Well in any case, YOU can help be a part of MEGAMIND’s newest publicity stunt, and be in the Guinness Book of World Records in the process.

On Saturday October 2nd, if you’re near Olympic Boulevard and own a superhero costume, you can join Ferrell in attempting to set the world record for the world’s largest collection of superheroes. Apparently the current record stands (and exists?) at about 1,500, so the organizers are hoping at last that many costumed folk show up.

I mean it would be cool to be in the book, but really? There’s seriously a world record for this? I understand Guinness is good for some stuff, like the world’s tallest man, or the woman with the most horns growing out of her head, but you can set a Guinness World record for anything these days. I could get five of my friends together, and tell them to draw a chicken while standing on one leg, and set the world record for most chickens drawn at the same time while standing on one leg.

In any case, here’s the time and place if you’re interested. Someone go and take pictures and send them to us please.

WHEN: Saturday, October 2 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.

– Arrivals / Mega-Breakfast 10:00 – 10:30 a.m.

– Record attempt, Certificate Presentation

WHERE: LA LIVE 800 W. Olympic Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90015
