Henry Cavill comes out ahead of Tom Hardy in latest betting odds for the next James Bond

It’s going to be a bit of a wait until we find out who will be taking over the James Bond mantle following Daniel Craig’s final appearance in No Time To Die. That hasn’t stopped all the speculation about who is next in line, and now the latest betting odds have Henry Cavill coming out ahead of Tom Hardy as the actor who could very well be our next James Bond.

According to the betting website Ladbrokes, Henry Cavill has jumped ahead of Tom Hardy as the new favorite to play James Bond. Hardy isn’t even second in this latest round of betting. Former Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page takes second place while Hardy is now placing third, although both actors have topped the betting odds at one point. Cavill leads the pack with 3/1 odds, while Page and Hardy are close behind with 7/2 and 6/1 odds, respectively.

All three names have been listed as possible choices by fans, and their names tend to pop up the most as the next possible candidates for the role. Cavill was once a finalist when they were looking to recast Bond for 2006’s Casino Royale, but the role would eventually go to Daniel Craig. I can see Cavill taking on the part, but he just shot another spy movie called Argylle, and it has franchise potential. This could diminish his chances of landing the even bigger spy role, but I wouldn’t count him out as a possibility just yet.

We previously reported that the next Bond film probably won’t get in front of the cameras until two years from now, so producers have time to make a choice on who will take on the role next. It’s possible that none of these fan-favorite picks makes the cut, and they go completely unknown. One thing’s for sure, the next person that gets to play Bond will have all eyes on them.

Do YOU think Henry Cavill should be the next James Bond?
