Here’s the first look at Tom Hanks in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

Today we get out first look at Tom Hanks and the young Thomas Horn in EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE. You know what’s cool about Horn? He owned on JEOPARDY! This kid has no previous acting experience and goes from Jeopardy glory to co-starring with Tom Hanks.

The story, adapted from Jonathan Safran Foer’s novel is about, “Oskar (Thomas Horn) is convinced that his father (Tom Hanks), who died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, has left a final message for him hidden somewhere in the city. Feeling disconnected from his grieving mother (Sandra Bullock) and driven by a relentlessly active mind that refuses to believe in things that can’t be observed, Oskar begins searching New York City for the lock that fits a mysterious key he found in his father’s closet. His journey through the five boroughs takes him beyond his own loss to a greater understanding of the observable world around him.”

Wait…WHAT? I have to witness the death of Tom Hanks? NOOOOOOO! I can’t take it. One Tom Hanks character death is enough! There should be a clause in his contract that he never die.

Stephen Daldry (THE HOURS) is directing the film which also stars Sandra Bullock, John Goodman, Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright, Max Von Sydow and James Gandolfini. The film is due to release on Christmas Day.
