Hex directors exit

JoBloJoBlo

The comic book western JONAH HEX was shaping up to be the good kind of crazy. CRANK directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor came on board to write and direct the Warner Bros. project, adapting the long-running DC Comics series about a scar-faced gunslinger.

But Neveldine and Taylor have saddled up and rode on outta town. The duo has left the project due to the obligatory “creative differences”, even with Josh Brolin thought to be strapping on sixguns to play the infamous ornery bounty hunter.

The studio intends to keep Brolin involved and get the movie rolling next spring, so they’ll be seeking an appropriate replacement pronto. It’s unknown if they’ll keep Neveldine/Taylor’s script, but under the circumstances it seems likely they’ll send it to the gallows and start fresh. I reckon.
