Hidden in the Woods

Chilean director of HIDDEN IN THE WOODS, Patricio Valladares, is gearing up for his latest thriller as Screen Daily reports that Valladares, who attended the Beyond The Window development sidebar at Ventana Sur last week with home invasion thriller BREATH, closed the deal at the market in Buenos Aires.

The micro-budget survival thriller will mark the director’s second English-language film, and while details are slim at best, what we do know is that DOWNHILL centers on a paralegal trapped on an mountain with a killer on a mission to kill a sick man. “Think Cliffhanger meets Paranormal Activity by way of David Cronenberg’s old movies,” said Valladares. I’m not even entirely sure how to process that sentence, but there you go. A cliff-hanging supernatural thriller with body horror elements? Sure, why not?

Barry Keating and Valladares will co-write DOWNHILL for producer George Von Knorring of Chile’s Too Much Films. More on this one as we get it!
