Hiddleston sings in this clip from the Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light

I SAW THE LIGHT follows legendary country western singer Hank Williams, who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. The film chronicles his meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life. While Tom Hiddleston certainly looks the part, we now have the very first clip showing off a bit of Hiddleston's singing prowess, as well as Elizabeth Olsen as Audrey Mae Williams.

At this point, it's not a matter of whether or not audiences can buy Tom Hiddleston as Hank Williams, but whether or not the writing and the direction of the story live up to his potrayal. Marvel fans love him for his terrifically fun take as Loki, so I'm hoping the man can pick up some other projects like this that really show off his acting chops. Perhaps THOR: RAGNAROK can be a musical?

I SAW THE LIGHT will open in theaters on November 27, 2015.
