Guillermo del Toro has confirmed that Hugo Weaving will be cast in the upcoming HOBBIT films, presumably as Elrond. He also spoke about Andy Serkis and Ian McKellen saying that they will play the roles that they originated in the trilogy. You can hear the interview over at BBC Radio.
I guess I’ll get more excited about this thing when it gets closer and we have a trailer and shit, but I wasn’t all that jazzed about the LORD OF THE RINGS movies so this one is gonna take some time getting to me. Now watch as I stir up interesting debate by asking “hey, what do you guys think about this movie? Excited? Not?” And also, absolve myself of having to write any more!
