Hobbit game delayed

Looking to get your meat hooks into a copy of THE HOBBIT on your Xbox 360? Hey, by 2012, the film’s release date, you could use that fancy new Project Natal to walk your way through middle earth. But sadly, you’re not getting a HOBBIT-based game anytime soon. Director Guillermo del Toro told MTV that because of the tight schedule of the two movies, they won’t have any time to devote to the video game. “It’s too ambitious to try and tackle that along with ‘The Hobbit’. We have such tight release dates,” said del Toro.

Del Toro could just hand the rights off to whatever game developer and let them develop a piece of shit like the TERMINATOR SALVATION game but, to his credit, he doesn’t want a piece of shit HOBBIT game. He wants an awesome HOBBIT game and just doesn’t have the time to devote to that game right now. So we’ll probably get one eventually but you’ll be playing it on the Xbox 720 or whatever funky new console will be out in 2014.
