Dustin Hoffman, who I still can’t believe starred in HOOK, will now star in BARNEY’S VERSION opposite Paul Giamatti. The film is an adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Mordecai Richler, about a retired cop and father of the story’s title character — who has led a reckless life highlighted by three marriages, two children and status as a “person of interest” in the mysterious disappearance of his friend.
I love Dustin Hoffman, so this is great. There’s something about that guy. He looks so cheerful. Like a lion enjoying the dainty afternoon gander of a gazelle. I’m not sure why I thought that line of thought would meander into a compliment to Dustin Hoffman, but I wrote it and I’m gonna run with it anyway. Most cannot help but admire my resolve.
