What if A Quiet Place was bad? Honest Trailers: Bird Box

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Usually, I'm not one to share Honest Trailers, but recently I shared the trailer for THE PREDATOR (watch it again HERE) and I couldn't help but share their new video. This time they're taking on Netflix's BIRD BOX starring Sandra Bullock and they really give it a go, basically summing it up by asking:

"What if A Quiet Place was bad?"

I'm sorry, but I tend to subscribe to most if not all of the criticisms thrown at the movie here in this video. I watched the movie a few months back and it never really sat right for me. And now I have a better idea why. First and foremost is the fact that the movie is basically 90% in that house and that whole section is really just like every single end-of-the-world zombie movie we have ever seen. Watch this video. Share it with someone you love.

For those who might not know, the Netflix original film begins:

When a mysterious force decimates the population, only one thing is certain — if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears. Searching for hope and a new beginning, a woman and her children embark on a dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. To make it, they'll have to cover their eyes from the evil that chases them — and complete the trip blindfolded.

BIRD BOX is directed by Susanne Bier from a screenplay written by Eric Heisserer (ARRIVAL) based on the book of the same name by Josh Malerman. Chris Morgan, Barbara Muschietti (STEPHEN KING'S IT), Scott Stuber, Dylan Clark, and Clayton Townsend produced. Bullock's costars include Trevante Rhodes, John Malkovich, Lil Rel Howery, Jacki Weaver, BD Wong, and Sarah Paulson. The movie is now streaming on Netflix.
