Alexandre Aja's THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX has been mighty quiet since we last heard from it in 2015, but good news has finally surfaced! The long-dormant film is being resurrected by Lionsgate Premiere for a limited theatrical release on September 2nd, 2016.

The film, which is based on the novel of the same name by Liz Jensen, was adapted by Max Minghella.

The 9th Life of Louis Drax begins on Louis Drax's (Aiden Longworth) 9th birthday, when he miraculously survives a near fatal fall. His doctor Allan Pascal (Jamie Dornan) finds himself tangled between his professional responsibility and his growing affections for the boy’s mother (Sarah Gadon), a fragile young beauty. When Louis’ father (Paul) comes under suspicion, Pascal realizes other mysterious forces may be at work.

The packed cast also includes Aaron Paul, Oliver Platt, Molly Parker and Barbara Hershey.
