Bella Thorne shares new Amityville: The Awakening poster

AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING, fresh from its new PG-13 rating, has premiered a new poster via star Bella Thorne's Instagram. It's actually kind of funny, considering that the original poster was designed to look like an Instagram post, but this Instagram post is a traditional poster. They're really working the teen angle here. The poster itself is fine, although it seems a little like a book cover from the YA Paranormal Romance section at Barnes & Noble. The plot awakens:

Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.

The film was directed by Franck Khalfoun and stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, McKenna Grace, Cameron Monaghan, Kurtwood Smith, Taylor Spreitler, Thomas Mann, and Jennifer Morrison. It will haunt theaters on April 1st.
