Confirmed: Steven Spielberg & Bryan Fuller reboot Amazing Stories for Apple

As if Apple didn't already rule enough of the world, today we have news the company is set to drop $1 billion on about 10 big-budget original shows in the next year.

And the first will be Steven Spielberg's reboot of AMAZING STORIES.

The rebooted series will be written and executive produced by Bryan Fuller who will be joined by Amblin’s Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey as executive producers.

President, NBC Entertainment

We love being at the forefront of Apple’s investment in scripted programming, and can’t think of a better property than Spielberg’s beloved “Amazing Stories” franchise with the genius of Bryan Fuller at the helm and more exciting creative partnerships to come.

What do you think of this news? Have you ever seen an episode of AMAZING STORIES?

AMAZING STORIES rundown:

This anthology series features unreal fantasy and horror stories a la "The Twilight Zone." Each short story was all-inclusive and many featured famous actors. Steven Spielberg served as executive producer of the show, which aired for two seasons on NBC.

We'll let you know when we hear more!

Extra Tidbit: Watch Spielberg's episode "The Mission" starring Kevin Costner. Thank me later.
