Creepshow 3?

Fangoria got word today that Taurus Entertainment is currently working at developing CREEPSHOW 3- this time, without George Romero. Ana Clavell, co-director/screenwriter for the upcoming DAY OF THE DEAD 2: CONTAGIUM, is involved with this new project, and had this to say…

“We will respect the format of the first two films, and we’ll probably make an announcement in mid-February.”

This is music to my ears, for CREEPSHOW and CREEPSHOW 2 are a couple of my favorite movies- I can watch these entraining jolts of demented revenge over and over again, and not get the least bit bored. Even the sequel, which is undeniably the lesser of the two, is entertaining beyond belief (The Raft– swimming in a lake will never be the same!). No word yet on whether or not Stephen King will be back to help in the writing… my guess is probably not.

I’m a little worried that the makers behind DAY OF THE DEAD 2 are behind this project. Given, no one’s seen it, so it could be really good… but a sequel to a zombie movie that should have been good but really sucked ass just doesn’t sound promising to me. DEAD 2 will be coming out later this year…
