Dan Aykroyd & Bill Murray join Zombieland 2?

As I'm sure we all know by this point in time, director Ruben Fleischer's ZOMBIELAND sequel is set to go into production this January and will be headed towards a release in October 2019 – coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the first film. And today we have a pretty cool RUMOR that GHOSTBUSTERS stars Dan Aykroyd AND Bill Murray are currently set to join the cast! Murray, of course, had a cameo in the original.

The circumstances and size of their role in ZOMBIELAND 2 are currently unknown, but the site does go on to say that, like the original ZOMBIELAND, they will be playing fictional versions of themselves. If this rumor is true then it means that Aykroyd and Murray join a killer cast which includes Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin returning to their original roles, along with new faces Zoey Deutch and Avan Jogia.

Original ZOMBIELAND director Ruben Fleischer returns to helm and is re-teaming with original writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (DEADPOOL 2). Gavin Polone produces and Reese and Wernick will also executive produce. Lauren Abrahams will oversee the project for the studio.
