Elle LaMont is ready to take on a faceless killer in Flay clip

Flay Eric Pham Elle LaMont

Last month, visual effects artist / director Eric Pham got some very good news about his film FLAY. Once blocked from being released because Sony felt the antagonist in it was a rip-off of the creepypasta character Slender Man, which Sony owns the exclusive rights to, FLAY earned a victory from the court system: it will be able to be released, the filmmakers just have to add a "this isn't about Slender Man" disclaimer to the film and its marketing materials.

Now a clip from FLAY has been released online and can be seen below. So while you check it out, Sony would like you to keep in mind that this isn't about Slender Man.

Written by Matthew James Daley, FLAY is actually about

recovering addict Patricia Crane, who inadvertently unleashes a centuries old curse and empowers Flay, a faceless killer who drags his victims to the netherworld, brutally flays them and traps their souls.

The film stars Elle LaMont, Violett Beane, Johnny Walter, Aaron Spivey-Sorrells, Peggy Schott, Kaylee King, Noe de la Garza, and PHANTASM's A. Michael Baldwin.

FLAY will be receiving a digital release on April 2nd.

In this clip, we find that LaMont's character has been pushed to a point where she is very determined to take on the supernatural killer and put an end to his days of soul trapping:
