Dan Walton (pictured), the producer of GUTTERBALLS and the director of the short film THE PROPHET (check out the website HERE), has given us a brief update on his next ambitious project, a horror-mystery called IN FROM OUTSIDE, which he co-wrote with Ken King and will direct.

First up, here’s the film’s synopsis: Three couples find themselves at a fifties themed roadside diner, when one by one, each of the patrons begin to disappear under mysterious circumstances.

Walton gave us this update on the venture: “The film is in development; we are casting in the next few months and we will be shooting this year. Basically I’m tired of all the crap films and remakes out there, we are all looking for something original and i think this tops it.

As it happens, our own John “The Arrow” Fallon was lucky enough to read the script and passed along this favorable quote:  “I dug it! It put out a solid initial premise, engaging characters, a smooth pace and potent fear set pieces! 20 pages in, I thought it was gonna be a slasher…I was happy to see that I was off base… it’s about “something else”.

Sounds like IN FROM OUTSIDE has major potential. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one as it chugs forward. In the meantime, take a peek at the poster for Walton’s short THE PROPHET below.
