Filming has wrapped on Tremors 7: Island Fury

For the last month, actor Michael Gross has been on the Thailand set of the seventh TREMORS movie, TREMORS: ISLAND FURY, reprising the role of franchise hero Burt Gummer, a character who has been with him for thirty years. Now the time has come for him to set Burt aside for a while again, as Gross has taken to his Facebook page to let fans know that production on the new sequel has wrapped.

Directed by Don Michael Paul from a script by Brian Brightly, TREMORS: ISLAND FURY finds that

the deadly Graboids are back, illegally brought in to a new island resort by a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt.

Gross is joined in the cast of this one by Richard Brake, Jon Heder, Jackie Cruz, Cassie Clare, Caroline Langrishe, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Matthew Douglas, Randy Kalsi, Bear Williams, David Asavanond, Boonma Lamphon, Aukrawut Rojaunawat, Iris Park, Mikey Black, Alex Winters, and Ron Smoorenburg.

People involved with the production have confirmed that Burt and the others won't just be fighting Graboids and Ass-Blasters in ISLAND FURY, but also Shriekers – a creature that hasn't been featured in the films since 2001's TREMORS 3: BACK TO PERFECTION and was last seen in episodes of the short-lived Tremors TV series in 2003.

TREMORS: ISLAND FURY is now heading into post-production, and we'll keep you updated as it makes its way toward release. According to Gross, they're aiming to get the movie out in the world in time for Halloween 2020.

In the meantime, all six previous TREMORS movies can be purchased in this collection. Completists will also want to pick up the episodes of the TV series.
