Roadside Eric England

CONTRACTED director Eric England is taking us on a road trip through a desolate mountain highway in his next thriller, ROADSIDE, in which a couple find themselves stranded and trapped in their car by a mysterious gunman. That's a smart setup because I can tell you from experience, when you're stranded in the middle of god knows where with nothing but mountains surrounding you, cell service is a bitch. Basically, you're screwed. This is why I don't leave my house, actually. Image Entertainment just picked up all US rights to the film, so hopefully we'll have more on this one sooner than later.

ROADSIDE tells the story of Dan and Mindy Summers…

…who are on a road trip along a desolate mountain highway. When Dan is forced to exit the SUV to remove a dead tree blocking their path, their journey takes a turn.  They suddenly find themselves held hostage on the side of the road, and trapped in their car by a mysterious gunman. They must fight for their lives in a sadistic game of cat and mouse set against a backdrop of numbing cold, pitch darkness and raw terror.

The film stars Ace Marrero (“Scorpion,” “Body of Proof”), Katie Stegeman (Madison County, Contracted), Lionel D. Carson (“The Unit”) and Jack E. Curenton (“Tim and Eric Awesome Show”).
