Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Elijah Wood terrorized plenty in the MANIAC remake, but now he’s on the other end of he knife, so to speak, in GRAND PIANO, a thriller in which he must play the concert of a lifetime or die. The first trailer for the film has hit and can be seen below; it’s in Spanish without subtitles, unfortunately, but you get the general idea.

The story concerns a once-great concert pianist who suffers from stage fright and comes back to perform after a five-year hiatus. Just when he’s about to play the first bar, he notices somebody has written a threatening note on his music sheet. He’s now forced to play his best concert ever to save his life as well as his wife’s.

John Cusack co-stars in GRAND PIANO as the villain; Eugenio Mira directed the film, while BURIED helmer Rodrigo Cortes produced. The film will open in Spain on October 25th; we don’t know when it will hit the states just yet.
