Variety reported today that Icon Entertainment Int’l has picked up the worldwide rights to thriller POKER NIGHT. That caught my attention immediately because I loves me some poker.
Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson are set to star in the flick which centers on a rookie detective (Christiansen) who wakes to find himself strapped to a chair in a dim and filthy basement. Cop’s faceless abductor is a vicious serial killer who is mercilessly torturing his captive both physically and mentally.
Sounds pretty awesome to me. Not sure what the hell it has to do with poker, but that’s ok. To reestablish some thematic balance I’ll just share a pic of former World Poker Tour host Shana Hiatt.
