Magnet Releasing has grabbed North American rights to Adrian Garcia Bogliano’s HERE COMES THE DEVIL, which had its world premiere at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. Fantastic Fest programmer Rodney Perkins made the announcement during his introduction of the film at the Austin-based genre fest Thursday night.

In “Devil,” Francisco Barreiro and Lura Caro star as parents whose preteen son and daughter suddenly reappear after having been lost overnight on a cave-riddled mountainside during a family hike. But their happy return becomes something else as the kids’ behavior changes and the legends of the caves come to light.

“‘Here Comes the Devil’ is a singular, crazed trip of a movie,” said Magnet/Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles. “We’re happy to be in business with Adrian, whose short in ‘ABCs of Death’ merely whetted our appetite for this full-on dish of creeped-out mayhem.”
