New image gives an official look at Paul Feig's Ghostbusters

In the midst of production on his GHOSTBUSTERS reboot, director Paul Feig shared a picture of his 'busters team standing next to their version of the Ecto-1, giving us what has been our only non-spy-picture look at the group. Now that the film is making its way through the post-production process, Planet Ghostbusters have revealed what is being called the "first official image", a shot of the new Ghostbusters standing on a very atmospheric set.

Stepping in for original Ghostbusters Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson in this new take on the concept are Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, and Leslie Jones.

The new team looks good to me, and despite the amount of negativity that has been directed toward it, I'm remaining optimistic about this project.

McCarthy, McKinnon, Wiig, and Jones are joined in the cast by Neil Casey, Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Pat Kiernan, Cecily Strong, and Charles Dance, with cameos by Murray, Aykroyd, Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts, and Ozzy Osbourne.

Paul Feig's GHOSTBUSTERS reaches theatres on July 15, 2016.
