Two successive days last July saw us write articles on two genre flicks that have since been picked up Phase 4 Films. The first – Richard Gabai’s INSIGHT, and the second – Mike Flanagan’s ABSENTIA – have both been tagged with DVD/VOD release dates. Seems these two titles were destined for marriage from the get go…

Anyway, INSIGHT hits DVD/VOD on February 28th (which would have been yesterday), while ABSENTIA will do the same on March 13th. Before we direct you toward copping these bastards on disc, let’s refresh your dome-piece:

INSIGHT: Kaitlyn (Natalie Zea), an ER nurse who is tending to a young stabbing victim, is accidentally electrocuted by the defibrillator that is used in an effort to save the woman’s life. Almost immediately she starts to experience the victim’s memories. Kaitlyn turns to family, friends, and the police, but no one takes her seriously. She decides to take it upon herself to solve the crime – as the terrifying visions threaten her sanity.

ABSENTIA: Tricia’s husband has been missing for seven years. Her younger sister, Callie, comes to live with her as the pressure mounts to finally declare him ‘dead in absentia.’ Tricia is reluctant, always holding out hope, but Callie is practical and wants her to move on. As Tricia sifts through the wreckage and tries to move on with her life, Callie finds herself drawn to an ominous tunnel near the house. As she begins to link it to other mysterious disappearances, it becomes clear that his presumed death might be anything but ‘natural.’ It seems that the ancient force at work in the tunnel might have set its sights on Callie and Tricia … and Tricia’s husband might be suffering a fate far worse than death in its grasp.

So there you have it…INSIGHT is currently available, ABSENTIA hits March 13th. Order INSIGHT HERE, ABSENTIA HERE.
