Ridley Scott produced found footage flick Phoenix Forgotten trailer & poster

I am a big fan of found footage films. I have actively attempted to seek out each and every one that I can find. In short, if someone else hadn't started found footage critic, I would have. I don't see why people have issues with it. I have loved almost every one I have seen. 

Okay, that is a bit much, but some of the scariest movies of all time, in my opinion, have been found footage: THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, and LAKE MUNGO. Point is; a new found footage movie, involving aliens, and from producer Ridley Scott makes my "Must-See Asap" list.

Today we have the trailer and poster for just such a flick with PHOENIX FORGOTTEN. The trailer doesn't give us much to go on – but that's a GOOD thing! And the poster is pretty minimal – that's a good thing as well! You can check out both below.

Here is the synopsis:

Based on the shocking, true events of March 13th, 1997, when several mysterious lights appeared over Phoenix, Arizona. This unprecedented and inexplicable phenomenon became known as “The Phoenix Lights”, and remains the most famous and widely viewed UFO sighting in history. 

Phoenix Forgotten tells the story of three teens who went into the desert shortly after the incident, hoping to document the strange events occurring in their town. They disappeared that night, and were never seen again.  Now, on the twentieth anniversary of their disappearance, unseen footage has finally been discovered, chronicling the final hours of their fateful expedition. For the first time ever, the truth will be revealed…

The flick hits us on April 21st.
