It looks like a sequel series to THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS is coming to CBS. It's called CLARICE and hails from writers and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. The series is said to be set in 1993, a year after the events of THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and is 

a deep dive into the untold personal story of Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C.

Kurtzman will executive produce with Heather Kadin and Aaron Baiers co-executive producing. MGM And CBS Television Studios are the studios.

Kurtzman and Lumet said:

After more than 20 years of silence, we’re privileged to give voice to one of America’s most enduring heroes – Clarice Starling. Clarice’s bravery and complexity have always lit the way, even as her personal story remained in the dark. But hers is the very story we need today: her struggle, her resilience, her victory. Her time is now, and always.

In the meantime, THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS was directed by Jonathan Demme from a screenplay written by Ted Tally based on the novel by Thomas Harris. Kenneth Utt, Edward Saxon, and Ron Bozman produced. It starred Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling with Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, Scott Glenn as Jack Crawford, and Ted Levine as Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb. Orion Pictures released it back on February 14, 1991.
