Today we have word, via the Lowell Sun, that shooting for the series is set to begin this August in Fort Devens, Massachusetts at the New England Studios. The Lowell Sun also reports that production crews are starting to build sets on site.

Filming is expected to begin in August and run until January.

CASTLE ROCK synopsis via Hulu:

A psychological horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, “Castle Rock” combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The first-of-its-kind reimagining explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories and characters.

CASTLE ROCK is written by Dustin Thomason and Sam Shaw, and executive produced by Stephen King and J.J. Abrams. The 10-episode first season has not yet been given a release date.
