It's crazy to think of not only how many Stephen King tales have already been produced into short films, features, and TV shows, but how many we still have on the horizon, such as the upcoming Hulu series CASTLE ROCK. The mind boggles yet it makes sense that today we have even more news about another upcoming King adaptation, this time via BRIGHT and SUICIDE SQUAD director David Ayer and his production company Cedar Park Entertainment.

Ayer will executive produce and develop King's poem THE BONE CHURCH into a TV series along with his Cedar Park Entertainment partner in crime Chris Long. King’s The Bone Church is a narrative poem that King published in his recent anthology The Bazaar of Bad Dreams.

Synopsis:

An adventurer organizes an expedition deep into a vast jungle land to locate the mythic Bone Church. They discover a secret not meant for the eyes of strangers. Only three of the 32 travelers escaped with their lives in a tale narrated by one of the survivors, who tells stories from a bar stool to patrons who’ll buy him drinks.
