This coming January, Guillermo del Toro is going to introduce you to his MAMA. No, this isn’t his actual mama (although with Guillermo, you never know), it’s a new spooky supernatural treat from the Spanish producer.

Check out the new trailer below, as well as the first one-sheet, which is on the right. (Seems like a promo poster for the time being.) The trailer starts off fairly routinely, but it certainly picks up toward the end with a handful of eerie images.

Directed by Andy Muschietti, Guillermo del Toro presents MAMA, a supernatural thriller starring Jessica Chastain and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, that tells the haunting tale of two little girls who disappeared into the woods the day that their mother was murdered. When they are rescued years later and begin a new life, they find that someone or something still wants to come tuck them in at night.

The film stars Jessica Chastain, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Megan Charpentier and Isabelle Nellsse. MAMA creeps into theaters on JANUARY 18th!
