Lost meets Lord of the Flies in Netflix’s The I-Land trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Well, it looks like the man behind that Nicolas Cage remake of THE WICKER MAN, Neil LaBute is back and this time he's teaming up with STRAW DOGS and SUPERMAN RETURNS actress Kate Bosworth to bring us a limited seven-episode Netflix series called THE I-LAND. The show will be washing up on the shores of your Netflix account next month, and today we have the trailer for you guys to check out.

Go ahead and give it a look-see below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think of the limited series thus far below!

Sounding like a mix of LOST and LORD OF FLIES by way of the infamous Fyre Festival, THE I-LAND begins when

ten people wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there, they set off on a trek to try to get back home. They soon discover this world is not as it seems. Faced with the island’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves — or die as their worst ones.

The thriller series is created by Neil LaBute and stars Kate Bosworth, Natalie Martinez, Alex Pettyfer, Kyle Schmid, and Gilles Geary. Bosworth also serves as the show's producer and Chad Oakes, Mike Frislev, and LaBute are executive producers. The miniseries hits on September 12, 2019.

Now, I don't know about you, but I'm down for checking out this series if only for Bosworth who I've always thought should be in more movies. Plus, at the end of the day, this series is only running a scant seven episodes and so it's not like it will take up much of our very important time to view it in full, right? Exactly. Are you up for visiting THE I-LAND next month? Let us know below!
