Tyler Mane’s Penance

Out of all the huge, hulking professional wrestlers that have made the leap (off the turnbuckle) onto the big screen, I feel that Tyler Mane has done a pretty impressive job. Of course, his most famous work can be seen in Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN as well as the upcoming sequel. I know that some may argue that Mane had it easy playing Meyers: no dialogue and his face was hidden under a mask. However, I beg to differ. Although we never see his entire face, we do get glimpses of certain facial features when he’s in Smith’s Grove. Plus, Mane was able to convey a fairly nice number of emotions through his body language and mannerisms.

Why am I talking up Tyler Mane the actor so much? Because, my man just revealed on his MySpace page the very next flick he’s starring in. It’s called PENANCE LANE and, get this, it’s coming from Tyler’s very own production company, Mane Entertainment! Here is what he wrote: “Next up, I’ve been setting up my production company Mane Entertainment and our first project PENANCE LANE is moving along at an incredible pace. In my top friends there is a page PENANCE LANE where you can look for up dates in the near future. We have a director attached that will blow your minds! Not telling yet!”

Pretty damn interesting so far. And that poster art for the flick up top is just bad ass! I’ll definitely be looking out for much more info on this one, like some sort of plot description.
