Hey, with cuties like these, who needs to leave the dome?

A few days after we told you Natalie Martinez had become ensnared in UNDER THE DOME, the TV mini-series based on Stephen King’s epic novel, word has spread that Britt Robertson has joined the cast. Robertson has been engaged in the supernatural on television before, having played the lead in The CW’s witch drama “The Secret Circle.”

Robertson will play Angie, an attractive young waitress and aspiring nurse who has always dreamed of escaping Chester’s Mill. As the town has become trapped under a gigantic dome, poor Angie will have to keep dreaming for a little while longer.

Alex Koch and Colin Ford have also been cast in the series, which begins shooting soon in North Carolina under the direction of Niels Arden Oplev (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO). Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment is producing the 13-episode series, and CBS will begin airing it in June.

Under the Dome is the story of a small New England town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away.
