Unsolved Mysteries creators trying to get a new season off the ground

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

For those of you not in the know, UNSOLVED MYSTERIES is one of the creepiest f*cking  shows of all time.

Hosted by Robert Stack (and later Dennis Farina) UNSOLVED MYSTERIES used "a documentary format to showcase real-life mysteries and re-enactments of unsolved crimes, missing persons cases, conspiracy theories and unexplained paranormal phenomena (alien abductions, ghosts, UFOs, and "secret history" theories)" all in an attempt to terrify us as much as humanly possible without actually murdering people.

The creators of UNSOLVED MYSTERIES, Terry Dunn Meurer and John Cosgrove, jumped on Reddit the other night for an AMA and, no duh, were asked fairly quickly if they have any plans for bringing the series back from the dead, so to speak, after it's cancellation back in 2008.

Here is what they said.

"We too would very much like to see new Unsolved Mysteries shows on the air. We are in the process of reaching out to networks to see if there is interest in ordering new shows. Let's keep our fingers crossed!"

Were you a fan of the series. Personally, that f*cking theme music still has the power to creep me out big-time. Something about the lack of a horror angle in the series made it all the more horrific, you know?

If you haven't seen them, you can check out some of the classic episodes Amazon Prime is currently streaming the first three seasons of the original Robert Stack incarnation, as well as the Spike TV revival episodes hosted by Dennis Farina. Further seasons are expected to be added at a later date.
