Hello folks, welcome to another start to the week. It is Monday so that means let’s look at the weekends Box Office.
In something that surprised me IMMORTALS made quite the impact at the Box Office, pulling in some decent numbers. It winning the Box Office means that the Adam Sandler awful as anything film didn’t but that sorry excuse for a film still made money. It is a bittersweet victory, but alas at least IMMORTALS won and good to see Tarsem Singh on top.
Other films that had been rattling around in the Top 10 took a dive, including PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3. But it did manage to break the $100 million mark, so well done to everyone for that. IN TIME remained in the Top 10 also, as did Real Steel. The numbers for the Box Office over the last few weeks have seemed a little odd, curious to know what audiences are thinking when they pick films.
The other releases we’ve been covering were MELANCHOLIA and 11-11-11, with the Lars Von Trier film hitting the 23rd spot and Bousman’s film didn’t make a mark but it did have a very limit release. This Friday the anticipated or dreaded TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN PT 1 hits and I am sure it will break records.
