TWITCH got their hands on the first CG test shot for THE HOST 2, the prequel to Bong Joon-ho’s terrific 2006 film that we’ve been eagerly awaiting for years now. It’s not an actual still from the movie, mind you, just a taste of what’s to come. Twitch mentions that this is just one of a few monsters we’ll be seeing in the film, to which I wonder: why the hell was everyone acting so surprised by that big bastard in THE HOST? Seems like they should have nodded knowingly at its first appearance… Ah well, I’m sure all will be explained.

The screenplay for THE HOST 2 was written by Kang Full, and it’s set during the Cheonggyecheon restoration of 2003. (According to Wiki, this was an urban renewal project in Seoul structured around a river; check out a pic below).
