The latest smoking hot babe to join the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake, the folks at “Shock ‘Til You Drop” have learned, is Katie Cassidy. She’ll apparently be playing someone named Kris in the upcoming film. Under director Samuel Bayer, the film will of course tell the story of Freddy Krueger and his sociopathic, murderous penchant for haunting hot young teens in their dreams. Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Thomas Dekker and Jackie Earle Haley as the Kruegster himself have previously been announced. Production on the remake is expected to take place next month in Chicago with an intended April 16th, 2010 release. Cassidy can currently be seen in the show “Harper’s Island” and will next be seen in the Chris Carter drama FENCEWALKER.
