Since amassing early raves for his 3rd feature film, Ti West’s slow burning fright-fest HOUSE ODF THE DEVIL has seen unanimous praise for his film wane in the last few weeks (check our boy Ammon’s review HERE).
Not like the dude’s fretting though, not only does he have CABIN FEVER 2: VIRGIN SPRING in the can, West is currently in pre-production on two other flicks, THE HAUNTING IN GEORGIA, and a comedy called LOSERS TAKE ALL (both slated for 2010 releases).
But until we get to check out his new work (at least the latter two), note that HOUSE OF THE DEVIL hits DVD on February 2, 2010.
For those who missed a tour of the HOUSE, it’s set:
In the 1980s, when a college student named Samantha Hughes takes a strange babysitting job that coincides with a full lunar eclipse. She slowly realizes her clients harbor a terrifying secret; they plan to use her in a satanic ritual.
The DVD art (seen above and below) is almost exactly the same as the official one-sheet for the film, save for a different quote at the bottom of the page. Instead of an official tagline, the new line is a snippet from a Manohla Dargis NY Times review, respectively.
What do you think? Inspired or a nice way to save some doe?
